I’m going to start by warning everyone that this purple eyeshadow is not at all easy to work with. It’s extremely difficult to apply evenly and it fades very quickly. That said, it’s an awesome color. I’m thinking next time I will use an eyeshadow primer first and see if that makes a difference.
First I lined my top lid with a thin coat of NARS liquid liner. I kept the liner to the outer corners of the eyes and didn’t make much of a wing. This is just to create some definition between the eye and the shadow. Next I applied the purple shadow to the lower part of the lid, stopping at the crease in a somewhat hard line. Since this color is difficult to apply I didn’t concern myself with making a pretty or even coat of shadow, I just kind of messily applied it and went with a sort of trashed out shadow look. I then applied the light shade in the Jolie Poupee duo to the inner corners and blended it in, but not with an particular precision.
I applied one light coat of mascara so the purple didn’t get lost behind my lashes. Last I dabbed one a small amount of lipstick as a stain.
No colored eyebrows, don’t give a shit. Bring me more way to work teal eyebrows into my everyday.
In other news my best friend has a blog where she makes you believe wearing purple eye shadow can look natural and should be done daily. FOLLOW IT!
